Oceans of Darkness

Bathed in stellar light I walked long,
       But now I walk alone.
Casting webs of starlight I sought long
	But my net is empty.

I embrace the Darkness --
  the black stain on my soul.
Truth is dead, a Fool's death
      and in lies I walk alone.

Death shall take me to my crypt
      Cricket's legs echo here
The empty sound of lightless sky.
    In seas of lies I walk alone.

By my eyes decay unravels all
   'Til stars fall from the sky.
The keeper of the Keys is dead --
    his treasures in the morgue lie, rusting.

The fell fire engulfs me,
    Burning in dark unlight.
My aura glows acid black --
   A hole in the night.

Candles pale red and black
	Illuminate the corpse's face.
A kiss, a touch a warm embrace
  of shadows from the past.

Your smiling faces betray your lies.
     Your kind words, your warmth
Shall not touch me ere I die.
      In shadows of lies I walk alone.
